General Scholarships in Spain
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports provides scholarships for all levels of study- High School, Vocational Training, Art Education and Sports, Official Language Schools and Masters, Degrees, Degrees and University Diplomas, among others.
General Non-College Scholarships
Students who are enrolled in any of the following are eligible for General Non-College Scholarships- First and second years of high school, Training intermediate and advanced level, Professional Art Education, Sports Education, Official language studies in schools, including the distance mode, Advanced Art Education, Higher religious studies, Senior military Studies, Test preparation courses, Initial Vocational qualification programs, and Basic training programs.
Requirements-
Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for scholarship-
General requisite-
Candidate must possess Spanish nationality or be a resident in Spain
Academic Requisites-
For the first year bachelor studies, you should have at least 5.50 points on average in 4th year note.
For the second year bachelor studies, you should have passed in all the previous year subjects.
Financial Requisites-
Spanish government provides financial aid to students, if they fulfil pre-set requirements in income limit ranging in three groups namely, thereshold1, threshold 2 or threshold 3, based on their economic status. As per the threshold student may be entitled for the following scholarship components:
- Amount associated fixed income or basic grant
- Residential allowance to stay away from home
- Varying amounts
General College Scholarships
General College Scholarships are for students enrolled in one of the following levels-
- University education adapted to the European leading to official Bachelor and Master Higher Education.
- Leading to official degrees of Bachelor, Engineer, Architect, Diploma, Master, Engineer and Technical Architect university education.
- Preparatory course for university entrance in over 25 taught by public universities.
- Complementary training or gaining access to Master's degree and additional credits for obtaining Bachelor degree or to pursue undergraduate officers.
Requirements-
Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for scholarship-
General requisite-
Candidate must possess Spanish nationality or be a resident in Spain
Academic Requisites-
For the first year studies of all the levels listed above, you should have gained at least 5.50 points in the entrance exam-PAU First Phase in order to get the tuition scholarship
For the second year studies-
- In technical education and science fields, you must have passed at least 65% of credits registered in the previous year;
- In health sciences, you should possess at least 80% of credits registered in the previous year;
- In Social and legal sciences & Arts and Humanities, you should have at least 90% of credits registered in the previous year
Financial Requisites-
Along with the General and Academic requisites, students are required to fulfill certain financial requisites as well. These financial requisites are based on the household income ranging in three categories, namely threshold 1, threshold 2 and threshold 3. The income limits or the thresholds are pre-determined.
As per the threshold student may be eligible for the following scholarship components:
- Tuition Scholarships
- Amount associated fixed income
- Residential allowance to stay away from home
- Varying amounts
